Auto-Reset Permissions for Unused Apps on Android In a new post on the Android Developers blog, Google announced its plans to bring permission auto-reset feature to Android devices running Android 6.0 Marshmallow (API level 23) and newer. It will start rolling out through a Google Play Services update starting this December. Google says the feature will reach all supported devices in the first quarter of 2022. Permissions auto-reset feature will be enabled by default for apps targeting Android 11 (API level 30) or newer....

Though the company did not reveal the exact sales figures, Apple CEO Tim Cook said that the company doubled its smartphone business in India as compared to the last quarter. Further, Apple clocked a 60% year-on-year (YoY) growth in the quarter ended in December 2020. It was fueled by the impressive sale of its older-gen iPhone XR and iPhone 11 series. The patent, “Anodized Part Having a Matte Black Appearance”, was filed with the US Patent and Trademark Office back in 2019. This hints at a matte-black MacBook that Apple might release in the future. However, instead of making it a traditional matte-black finish, the company will add its own twist to it to make it a bit more black than matte-black. So, according to the patent, Apple plans to use a special, completely-black material that will be able to absorb “generally all visible light”....

Over a decade ago, NASA astronomers theorized a concept for a unique telescope that will use liquid mirrors instead of solid mirrors like in traditional telescopes. However, that project was shut down by the space organization for unknown reasons. So, the astronomers from Texas University want to take this theory and further their research.
